The Good:

Not a great month throwing out the old in The Wolf Man. Everything else was either a heap of crap or just ok, but the best of the that group would have to be The Star. Not even so much because of the movie, more because of the experience I had with my son and wife seeing it. I am not a religious person but my son and wife are and he was so excited to see the story of Jesus’s birth. The story he had learned so much about at his religious preschool program. Movie had a nice balance of comedy, which I did enjoy. Grade C

The Bad:

The bad is always easy when theres a Michael Bay Transformers movie to talk about. Michael Bay decided he wasn’t done destroying beloved childhood characters and offered up yet another Transformers movie this year. This one is called Transformers: The Last Knight. Basically this movie has been a flop and Michael Bay has stepped away from the franchise. What more could you ask for from this movie? A Bumblebee movie is scheduled for 2018 with a new team behind it, so don’t give up hope on the franchise yet. Grade D

The Old or Surprising:

1941’s The Wolf Man would be the old for the month. With The Mummy being such a flop, I have decided to go back and watch the classics that started the monster craze. The Wolf Man won’t blow you away and there are better classic films, but it’s a fun short watch. Remember short movies? Back when they didn’t have to be almost three hours long. Grade B
