2014 Summer Movie Preview

Summer preview time! It’s time to look at what has already came out this Summer and what else is on the way. Here are my most anticipated movies for June, July, and August.

Top 5 Most Anticipated Summer 2014 Movies

5. How to Train Your Dragon 2, June 13th

– How to Train Your Dragon 2 is the sequel to one of the best animated movies of all time in my opinion.  The first one was such a classic movie with a an outstanding soundtrack. Can’t wait to see everyone favorite dragon again, Toothless!

4. 22 Jump Street, June 13th

– 21 Jump Street caught me off guard and turned out to be the funniest movie of 2012. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum make up one of the most surprising comedy duos on the big screen right now. Can they hit the same funny bone they hit before? I’m not sure judging by the trailer but I have high hopes.

3. Lucy, August 8th

– Lucy reminds me of the Bradley Cooper movie Limitless but with a thriller action adventure storyline. Love seeing Scarlett Johansson in a leading role as an action star. She is obviously one of the most beautiful and sexy actresses in Hollywood right now but Lucy will let us know if Marvel can green light a Black Widow origins movie. Can’t wait to see how she does.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy, August 1st

– I literally know nothing about any of these characters or this movie besides the fact it is from the Marvel Universe and looks like a new age version of a Star Wars movie sort of. Looks wildly entertaining and I can’t wait to see it!

1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, July 11th

– Rise of the Planet of the Apes was easily one of my favorite movies in 2011. I thought it looked decent but was blown away with how much I enjoyed it. Something tells me Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will raise the bar to another level as we dive deeper into the world of apes and humans after the virus spreads and changes the world.
